Nefco — the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation — finances green municipal infrastructure projects across Ukraine. Over €500M mobilised from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the EU. Nordic companies participate as suppliers and contractors through procurement.
ABOUT NEFCO IN UKRAINE
Nefco operates in Ukraine under a framework agreement granting it IFI privileges. Since 2022, it has mobilised over €500M for green recovery — financing district heating, water systems, energy-efficient buildings, solar installations, and waste management. Approximately 50 projects are ongoing and 30+ completed, benefiting over 300,000 people.
